Psychotherapist

I’m an invested, caring, and passionate therapist who takes joy in continually learning and growing as a clinician. I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels safe and grounded in compassion, where you can explore your story at your own pace. My lived experiences have continually inspired me to pursue my deep commitment to providing excellent therapeutic care to those I serve.

My journey in community mental health began almost a decade ago, in 2017, when I worked as a crisis manager. I was dispatched into homes, provided de-escalation and safety plans, and linked families with more community-based services. My community work continued internationally in the Peace Corps, where I worked in a school alongside the school counselor. I then offered my skills  in a different capacity in 2022, when I worked as a social worker alongside lawyers and law students to support the unhoused community in New York. Lastly, I have spent the last few years working clinically with families doing in-home family therapy, and within our local community service behavioral board. Through my extensive career in various settings, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations whose strength and adaptability continuously inspire my practice. I enjoy working with tweens, adolescents, young adults, and families, using a blend of creativity, attuned communication, and holistic practices that honor the healing process. At Kindred, I’m increasing my knowledge base on the mind–body connection and the role of spirituality in healing.

My clinical focus includes trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, grief, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and ADHD. I strive to make my space calming and expressive, where differences are embraced and healing feels collaborative. Additionally, as a Cuban immigrant, my identity deeply shapes my commitment to serving my community and supporting individuals from minority backgrounds. I also provide therapy services in my native Spanish language.

I am also committed to supporting individuals and families through Functional Family Therapy (FFT), EMDR, attachment-based relational approaches, and Collaborative Problem Solving, helping families bridge communication gaps with empathy, structure, and respect for each person’s experience. My goal is that every voice in your family is heard.
