About Me
Sarena Ferguson
My passion as a therapist is in holding a warm, compassionate space for children, adolescents, and families who are overwhelmed and struggling to find peace and connection. I provide a creative, playful approach to therapy that is holistic, person-centered, strengths-based, and evidence-based. By prioritizing genuine understanding, validation, and connection in the therapeutic relationship, we will move together through your journey to change.
My expertise is in working with children, preteens, and teens who struggle with emotional dysregulation, including both externalizing behaviors (anger, aggression) and internalizing behaviors (perfectionism, negative self-talk). I support clients who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, difficulties in transitions (sleep, school, separation anxiety), school challenges, adoption, family members with addictions, and those seeking LGBTQ+ affirmative care.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also deeply enjoy connecting with nature and animals of all kinds. I love making art, hiking, paddle boarding, gardening, and reading.
