About Me

KATRINA CUTSHALL CLARK, LCSW-C, BCN

I believe the therapeutic relationship can be a life changing healing tool and I am honored to be apart of each clients journey.  I am passionate about creating a calm, open- minded, and safe space for each unique client, as they venture onto their path of optimum well-being. I enjoy working with teens and adults that are seeking recovery from trauma, anxiety, depression, and life stressors. Along with everyone else at Kindred Tree, I provide lgbtq+ and neurodivergent  affirming care. In addition to providing psychotherapy, I am also the Director of our Neural Therapies program here at Kindred.

I have over ten years of experience in the mental health field.  My career began working in recreational therapy within the gerontology population. I have dedicated my career to working with varied and diverse populations across several types of settings including hospitals, and community based clinics. I  received my Bachelor of Social Work from Hood College and my Master of  Clinical Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore with a specialization in clinical behavioral health.

I am an intuitive, empathetic, client centered therapist who pulls from a variety of eclectic holistic and evidenced based practices to best meet my clients needs. I utilize therapies like Brainspotting and Reiki to bring somatic based healing for those I have the privilege of serving. Empowering clients to heal from trauma and life stressors brings me great joy. In this process I work to help improve the mind-body connection and increase overall mind-body-spirit functioning. Our trauma, anxieties, and insecurities get trapped in our bodies and nervous systems. I will support you into awareness and help you be the catalyst of your own healing. When necessary I can also incorporate neurofeedback into our treatment. Neurofeedback is an evidence based, FDA cleared form of brain based support that can significantly decrease anxiety and regulate optimal brain wave function.

As a Frederick native I find great joy and honor in helping community members navigate life challenges and finding their paths of healing and happiness. You will notice that my energy is just that: supportive, calm, and grounded in your joy.

In my free time you can find me outdoors either hiking, being in and around water, kayaking, swimming or paddle-boarding. I also am an athlete and stay active with playing softball, riding my peloton, and running.
