About Me
Julia Leikin, LGPC
It can be hard to watch your child struggle and not know how to help. I offer a warm, supportive space for children, teens, and families who are facing challenges such as anxiety, school-related stress, attachment or adoption concerns, big life changes, or the unique experiences of being neurodivergent. Together, we’ll work in ways that feel creative, playful, and supportive of your child’s strengths, while also using therapeutic approaches that are proven to help. My goal is to build a safe and trusting relationship where your child, and your family can feel understood, connected, and empowered to move toward greater confidence and peace.
I specialize in supporting children, preteens, and teens, and adults who are navigating big emotions and the challenges that come with them. This includes helping young people who experience emotional dysregulation, whether it shows up as outward behaviors such as anger or defiance, or inward struggles such as perfectionism, self-criticism, or withdrawal. My clinical focus includes working with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adoption-related challenges, school stressors such as academic difficulties or peer conflict, and family changes. I also provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ youth and their families and affirming therapy for all neurotypes (adhd, autism, high sensitivity). My work with adults centers around forming a secure relationship where insights, healing, and empowerment can be gained after going through life’s adversities.
Outside of my work, I value time with my family and find joy in being outdoors. Any time in nature brings me peace and happiness!
