SILVINA ETCHEGOYEN
I'm bilingual and bicultural and take great joy in helping others access healing. In the therapeutic relationship, I help my clients to feel seen and heard and empowered to grow past difficult experiences. I enjoy working with both children and adults by utilizing developmentally appropriate interventions that support a client to feel secure. I particularly enjoy engaging in depth work and using a combination of eclectic and effective interventions.
I have worked directly in the mental health field as a clinician since 1994. I began my career in my native Argentina as a program manager and therapist at various organizations in Argentina. Additionally, I have worked in many settings including top institutions like Yale, Hellen Keller International, and the National Resource Center on ADHD. Most recently I was a therapist at Sheppard Pratt.
I received my Bachelor of Social Work in Argentina from Universidad Nacional de Mar de Plata. I then received my Master in Social Work from University of Connecticut.
I am caring, warm, and hardworking. I enjoy using a mix of holistic and best practice therapies to support my clients. I am a native Spanish speaker and love serving the local latino community in Frederick.
In my free time you can find me volunteering as a scout master, a past time I have enjoyed for more than two decades. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hiking and camping.
