Welcome Daisy!!

It’s that time again, I am so excited to announce our newest team member! I’m thrilled to share that we have a new psychotherapist in the house, meet Daisy Lopez-Duke! Daisy began her career as a therapist in 1996, when she worked at The Women’s Center, outside of Washington, D.C., in Vienna, Virginia. She obtained her Master in Counseling, Human Development and Education in 1996 from George Washington University. Daisy brings forth over 14 years of experience in the field of mental health and has worked in medical settings like Inova Health Systems, private and public schools, and most recently in the Villa Maria Behavioral Health Clinic of Catholic Charities.

Daisy joins us full time and is looking forward to working with children, teens and adults in the area of trauma, anxiety, depression, and also the psychosocial aspects of medical illness. She is bilingual in Spanish and bicultural. Daisy has advanced clinical training in EMDR, attachment based play therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and yoga in the school settings. She will be clinically supervised by myself, and will gain additional expertise in brain-based and nervous system/somatic therapies like brainspotting, attachment, expressive arts and play therapy.

I’m so incredibly proud to bring on such a great person to our team, and the feelings are mutual! Daisy wishes to share, “I am excited and honored to join the amazing team at Kindred Tree Healing. Its holistic philosophy on healing and life balance aligns perfectly with my own values personally and professionally.”

I am just so very happy to have you be a part of our team here at Kindred Tree, and witness all the great things you will do for our community.
