Since it’s founding in 2016, Kindred Tree Healing Center has experienced consistent growth. Each year we grow consciously and gain excellent people that love working here! Kindred Tree has a great reputation in the area for being a premier private mental health practice  focusing on executing services in a holistic manner alongside the latest developments in the attachment and developmental sciences.  If you have a yearning for providing excellent therapy to children, adolescents and adults from an integrative and attachment based framework, you have found the right place!

Take a Look Inside Our Two Locations:
Frederick, MD
Alexandria, VA

We are currently hiring for licensed psychotherapists (LCSW-C’s or close to clinical licensure) that are committed to growing with us and being a part of an exciting, deeply rewarding, and tight knit group practice centered around authentic relationships. All our therapists are employed full time as W-2 clinicians.

At Kindred Tree we operate off a collaborative and conscious work environment where our relationships with one another are based on group collectivist cultural values. Vanessa, its founder and clinical director, infuses her warm leadership style that is deeply influenced by her Central American cultural roots and profound love of learning. You will be supported by an expert in the field of attachment and developmental psychology, expressive therapies, and holistic practices.

We specialize in treating children, adolescents and adults in the areas of trauma, anxiety, and parenting by utilizing play, art, and sandtray therapy, and incorporating brain based nervous system therapies like emdr, brainspotting, yoga and reiki; all within an integrative and attachment based framework. We are also an lgbtqia affirming practice and operating from a social justice foundation intersects in all the clinical work we do with our patients, community partners, and fellow professionals.

We provide competitive pay commensurate with experience, bonuses, and provide free weekly supervision and case consultation to all staff, monthly staff meetings, and a generous education stipend. We have two locations. Our downtown Frederick office is located in a gorgeous 1800’s historic home, boasting more than 5,000 square feet of office space that is beautifully decorated with all the plants, and beautiful touches! Our Old Town Alexandria location was intentionally designed to be both a gathering space for larger workshops, yoga classes, and events, and is decorated with high end design and comfort in mind. Our clients and staff breathe a little easier when they step foot in both our buildings, and you will too. For more information about our open positions, see below:
